The first order is the hardest. Without reviews, clients hesitate; without clients, there are no reviews. Every freelancer goes through this phase. Here is a practical plan to get through it faster on Tamam.
A client who opens an empty profile leaves. Tamam's "Build my profile" guide shows your profile strength as a percentage and lists what is missing: a real photo, a headline, a description, skills, languages, identity verification, portfolio and payout details. Aim for 100%. A verified identity in particular reassures clients who don't know you yet.
Three related services (menu, flyer, social media visuals for restaurants, for example) make your profile coherent.
Clients post projects and compare offers. This is where new freelancers get most of their first orders. A few rules:
Your first reviews matter more than your first earnings. Deliver on time, or early. Communicate at every step. Add a small extra when you can. At the end, ask politely for an honest review: it is what will bring the next clients.
A relative's shop, a former employer, an association, a friend starting a business: they can be your first clients on the platform. Ask them to order through Tamam so that the work and the review count on your profile.
Post your best work on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn with a link to your Tamam service. Groups for entrepreneurs, merchants and students in your wilaya are full of people looking for exactly what you do.
Once a service has a good cover and a clear offer, you can sponsor it for a period of your choice. Sponsored services appear higher in search results, in categories and on the home page, with a "Sponsored" label. It works best on a service that is already convincing; sponsorship brings visitors, the offer turns them into clients.
Look at which services get views but no orders: the price, the cover or the title may need work. Look at which offers get answers. Adjust a little each week. Most freelancers who succeed didn't start with the best profile; they kept improving it.
A complete profile, focused services, daily offers on projects and very satisfied first clients. Do these four things consistently for a few weeks, and the first reviews will come, then the next orders.
